Our vision for the LoudHER Foundation of Loud Women Lead is dedicated to advancing the leadership and resilience of high school & college-aged women. Our mission is to amplify their voices, enabling them to create radical change in our global society. We prioritize building mental fortitude and connecting visionary leaders to invaluable resources.


As part of our commitment to fostering talent and nurturing future leaders, we're excited to offer dynamic internship opportunities under the Loud Women Lead brand.

How we measure impact

Your commitment to our organization will help us champion the comprehensive well-being and advancement of Black and Brown women to establish the next generation of revolutionary change makers. We expect each intern to walk away with the following:

  1. The email and phone number of at least 1 mentor that directly supports your future goals

  2. Participate directly in at least one Loud Women Lead program for leadership awareness & training

  3. Increased social media awareness & following, email list sign-ups or fundraising totals (This will be decided between the intern and the Loud Women Lead team member)

  4. Open - We'd like for all of our interns to set at least one goal for themselves to reach before the end of the program

Number of work hours per week:

We offer summer and year-round internships for high school and college students. During the academic year, internships are typically part-time, between 10-20 hours a week; not to exceed 20 hours a week (September-May). This may vary during the summer months. We understand many of you are still taking classes full-time, so we do offer flexibility to set your own hours as long as determined deadlines are met. Dates of the program may vary so please check your availability prior to applying.


While our internship program is 100% virtual -- it requires accountability and commitment to make a difference. You will be required to join a virtual meeting at least once per week. Any in-person events are at the sole discretion of the individual and are not tied to the internship. It requires a separate waiver as a volunteer and you must by 18 years of age or older. 


Who is eligible to apply?

  • Must be currently enrolled in high school, post secondary or college program 

  • Must be a rising junior, senior or current senior either in high school or post secondary program

  • Must be at least 16 years old. Some positions may require a minimum age of 18

  • Interns work 10-20 hours per week based on placement

  • Internships are unpaid

  • Be eligible to work in the United States

  • High school students must enrolled in the school's co-op program.

  • Must be available for the full duration of the program with no more than 2 days of absences


Note: **Loud Women Lead strongly encourages diverse applicants, especially those who identify as Black, Native or Indigenous, People of Color, LGBTQIA+, non-binary, living with disabilities, neurodivergent, young, speak English as a second language, and others from overlooked / underestimated communities. 


                                        Please review the available internships and descriptions below


1. Social Media Internship:

Description: The Social Media Intern will be responsible for managing the Loud Women Lead's social media presence across various platforms. They will create and curate engaging content, including text, image, and video posts, to increase brand awareness and engagement. The intern will develop and implement social media strategies, analyze performance metrics, and optimize content based on insights. Additionally, they will engage with followers, respond to inquiries, and cultivate online communities aligned with the foundation's mission of empowering young girls and women.

2. Journalism/Booking Producer Internship:

Description: The Journalism/Booking Producer Intern will play a key role in producing content for Loud Women Lead and the LoudHER Foundation's media channels, including blogs, articles, interviews, and podcasts. They will research and pitch compelling story ideas related to women's empowerment, leadership, and education. The intern will conduct interviews, transcribe recordings, and assist in editing and publishing content. Additionally, they may be involved in booking guests for interviews or events, coordinating schedules, and ensuring smooth production processes.

3. Communications Internship:

Description: The Communications Intern will assist in managing internal and external communications for Loud Women Lead & The LoudHER Foundation. They will draft press releases, newsletters, and other written materials to promote the foundation's initiatives and events. The intern will liaise with media contacts, partners, and stakeholders to disseminate information effectively. They may also help maintain the organization's website, update content, and ensure brand consistency across communication channels. Furthermore, the intern will support the development and implementation of communication strategies to enhance the foundation's visibility and impact.

4. Programming Internship:

Description: The Programming Intern will contribute to the planning and execution of educational and leadership development programs offered by Loud Women Lead & the LoudHER Foundation. They will in coordinating workshops, and recruiting speakers and facilitators. The intern will support logistical aspects of program implementation, such as scheduling, venue coordination, and participant registration. Additionally, they will gather feedback, evaluate program effectiveness, and propose improvements for future iterations. The intern will play a vital role in creating empowering and enriching experiences for young girls and women involved in the foundation's programs.

5. Marketing Internship 

Description: The marketing intern will contribute fresh ideas, create content, and research industry trends. Interns conduct research that improves our brand, communications, and strategy. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of brand marketing, social media, and digital marketing strategies, as well as an interest in working on high-impact projects. The intern will play a role throughout the marketing cycle in positioning, messaging, and storytelling as well as contribute to marketing campaigns that further the organization's strategic goals. It is important for the intern to apply marketing concepts to solve organizational challenges, while also providing support for virtual and in-person events. Last, but not least, the marketing intern will contribute fresh ideas that can enhance the brand’s standing.

6. Fundraising and Grant Writing Internship: 

Description: Assist in fundraising efforts to support Loud Women Lead and the LoudHER Foundation's programs and initiatives. Research potential donors and grant opportunities, draft proposals and grant applications, and help organize fundraising events.
